Sita Sings the Blues and Plucks at My Heartstrings

The cool thing about Ragtag is that they let you bring things other than soda into theater, which is why at 11am yesterday I was able to settle down with a nice cup of Earl Grey and watch Nina Paley's Sita Sings the Blues. You can get sandwiches to! The movie was amazing! Sadly, by the time I post this the last showing of Sita for Citizen Jane will be well underway(Not that there aren't tons of other opportunities to go see films.), but I ... Read more

Go see every film you possible can. I've seen three today( I feel like I lived in Ragtag Theatre) and they've all been fantastic. Manic is One Way to Put It

(Pictured above: Zooey Deschanel; a repeat offender.)             You’ve probably seen a movie with a Manic Pixie Dream Girl. They’re pretty common in most medias, but (as with a lot of things) nobody does it like the movies. Watch an indie rom-com that came out in the early 2000s.  They’re there.                         Behind every mediocre man is a Manic Pixie Dream Girl. The seemed to be attracted to recent college grads going through ... Read more
