Filmmakers and film lovers from around the world converge upon the small Midwestern town of Columbia, Missouri every fall to celebrate films made by women, engage in lively discussions, attend one-of-a-kind parties and experience what many (both male and female alike!) consider to be the most intimate and interesting new festival in the country.

Women make up a meager minority of filmmakers in our industry today and often have to face stereotypes on the kinds of films they can and should make….but this year we are rebelling against this by reconstructing reality. We are building the community we want to work in and the films we want to see through programming the best of films of all genres made by women today. We craft a unique experience with panels, intimate workshops and special events around each film. Whether you’re a film lover or filmmaker–and whatever your gender–come join us for the third annual Citizen Jane Film Festival!
