Volunteer for CJFF

THANKS to everyone who volunteered for Citizen Jane 2015!! We will be accepting volunteers for 2016 in the late spring.

We are a community festival, and we need the help of the community to be as successful as possible. Our volunteers are also entitled to benefits, such as a Volunteer Pass, which grants access to any film while not on shift (if seats are available), as well as an invitation to a party specifically for volunteers after the festival. You also get a free t-shirt! You must volunteer at least 12 hours to qualify for benefits. We need lots of volunteer energy leading up to the festival, as well as during and after, for a variety of jobs. Below are some examples of festival jobs. Airport Drivers: This is a rare opportunity to pick up and drive our filmmakers and special guests to Columbia.

Box Office Team: Sell tickets and passes, help festival goers pick out their films, answer questions. This is a great opportunity to be at the center of all of the activity.

Filmmaker Liaison: Be a welcoming face for our CJFF filmmakers. Our goal is to assist the filmmakers during their stay and act as a guide to our wonderful community!

Merchandise Sales Volunteers: Sell festival merch at various festival locations, perform cash and credit card transactions. May also be asked to function as a “runner” throughout festival for other departments.

Venue Operations Volunteer: Assist house manager with venue prep, line management, communicate with festival patrons, assist in seating, reset the area following each film. Plenty of opportunities to meet incredible new people! An integral part of making the festival happen.

Venue Designers: Work with Art Directors to design each venue and Box Office to maximize visibility and create a look that expresses the festival’s theme.
